صاحب هذه الصورة هو المصور والغوّاص المحترف أناتولي بيلوسشين ، الذي التقطها في أحد كهوف سينوت أنجليتا في المكسيك ، ولندعه يصف لنا هذا المشهد :

اقتباس “كنّا على عمق 30 متراً من المياه النظيفة ، ثم نزلنا إلى عمق 60 متراً فأصبحنا في مياه ملحية لنفاجأ بوجود ما يشبه النهر بجزيرة في منتصفه وأشجار بأوراق متساقطة عليها وبين ضفتيه !!
هذا النهر في الحقيقة لم يكن سوى طبقة من سلفيد الهيدروجين! ”ا
